Built for the business you're about to become.

Most of the people I work with are early, building the first real version of something they fully intend to still be running in ten years. That asks for a particular balance. It has to hold its own next to companies much further along than you, it has to be affordable while you're still proving the thing works, and it can't be something you outgrow in a year. That's the brief I'm best at.

This is probably a fit if:

  • You're early, and you're not building something temporary.
  • You're launching something, or you've outgrown the version you put together when you started.
  • You could learn to do all of this yourself. You'd just rather spend that year building the business.
  • You'd rather have a real conversation about your business than send over a Pinterest board and wait.
  • You care about taste, and just as much about the thing being fast. Those get treated as a trade-off far more often than they should be.

It's probably not a fit if:

  • You need a logo by Thursday. That's a real need, and someone set up for quick turnarounds will serve you better than I would.
  • You already have a developer and you just want the files. I do that occasionally, but it's a different conversation.
  • You want a hundred variations to choose between. I bring a considered direction and we shape it together from there.
  • You've run it all through ChatGPT and want the image it gave you built. I use AI every day, but deliberately for the productivity side of the work, not the creative decisions.

The whole arc, as one project.

Which is the practical point of it: nothing gets lost between the strategy and the thing that actually goes live, because there is no handover for it to get lost in.

  1. no 01.

    Strategy

Before anything gets designed, we work out what this is really for, who it's talking to, and what it needs to do for your business. This is the part that saves you money later.

  2. no 02.

    Brand system

Identity, typography, palette, and the rules that hold it together everywhere it lands, from your site to your packaging to a phone screen at arm's length.

  3. no 03.

    Product and interface

Structure, flows, and UI design for the site or product, built around what people will really do rather than what we'd like them to do.

  4. no 04.

    The build

I take it into production on WordPress or Shopify, and none of it starts from a template. Responsive, fast, accessible, and handed over in a state you can actually maintain.

  5. no 05.

    Integrations and the unglamorous essentials

The things that decide whether this is a brochure or a business: payments, bookings, email, analytics, and the setup your team needs to run it day to day once it's live.

How it runs.

  1. 01

A call, if you like calls

Half an hour, no deck, no pitch. You tell me what you're building and I tell you honestly whether I'm the right person for it. If calls make you itchy, say so and I'll send you scope, timeline, and pricing in writing instead. Both are completely normal ways to start.

  2. 02

    The proposal

A written scope with deliverables, phases, timeline, and a fixed price. No hourly billing and no invoices that surprise you.

  3. 03

    Strategy and direction

We go properly deep on the business and the audience, and I come back with a direction. You react, we sharpen it, and we agree on where this is going while it's all still on paper.

Somewhere in here I'll usually raise something you didn't ask me about. Six years of doing this from the outside means I notice things that are genuinely hard to see from inside your own business, and they are much cheaper to hear now than after launch.

  4. 04

    Design and build

Regular checkpoints where you see real work instead of status updates, and where you're expected to have opinions. Design and build run in parallel, so decisions get tested in the real thing rather than approved as a picture and discovered later.

  5. 05

    Launch and handover

It goes live, you get everything, and I show you how to run it. Then you have a month of me on hand while you settle in: questions as you get used to running it, small adjustments to what's already there, and anything you'd like walked through again.

The details.

Investment

Projects start at $5,000, and most land between $7,000 and $9,000 depending on scope. You'll have the exact number in writing before anything begins.

Timeline

Six to ten weeks, usually. I take on four projects a year, so start dates tend to sit a quarter or two out. If you're planning around a launch, it helps to talk early so we can work backwards from it.

Payment

Split across the phases, with the first payment to get started and the rest at agreed milestones.

That's a different service and it lives somewhere else. I've been making video for brands since 2021, mostly for Instagram and YouTube, and that work has its own portfolio and its own way of being hired.

Tell me what you're building.

If you've got something in the works for the next few months, this is a good moment to say hello. There's one spot left for 2026.
